Plan Overview

Genesis Writer offers four subscription tiers designed for different stages of your writing journey. Everyone starts on the Free plan, which gives you a taste of the platform. When you're ready for more, three paid plans unlock the full creative toolkit.

All paid plans share the same feature set — the difference is how many tokens and how much storage you get each month. There are no feature walls between Basic, Writer, and Professional. Pick the tier that matches your writing volume.

The Free Plan

The Free plan is your entry point. Sign up with an email address or Google account and you immediately receive 25,000 Genesis Tokens — enough to try out AI generation, explore the editor, and write a few scenes.

This is a one-time grant. Unlike paid plans, Free tokens never reset or refresh. Once you've used all 25,000 tokens, you'll need to subscribe to a paid plan to keep generating.

Free Plan Models

Free users have access to six AI models:

• GPT-5.4 Nano (OpenAI) — the default model. Fast, token-efficient, and sharp on scene structure and dialogue.
• GPT-5 Mini (OpenAI) — handles long, consistent passages well.
• Claude 4.5 Haiku (Anthropic) — natural prose with strong dialogue and character voice.
• Gemini 2.5 Flash Lite (Google) — the cheapest path to good output, strong with supplied context.
• Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite (Google) — sharper prose than 2.5 Flash Lite, still fast and cheap.
• DeepSeek V4 Flash (DeepSeek) — the cheapest model, with a huge context window and a more permissive stance on mature themes.

Free Plan Limitations

The Free plan has some restrictions beyond the token and model caps:

• 3 projects maximum — enough to try the platform, but you'll need a paid plan for serious multi-project work.
• 50 MB storage — covers basic usage, but image-heavy projects will hit this quickly.
• No custom portrait generation — AI portrait creation requires a paid plan.
• No marketplace publishing — Free users can create custom styles and plugins, but can't publish them to the marketplace.

Paid Plans: Basic, Writer & Professional

All three paid plans unlock the complete Genesis Writer experience. There's no feature gating between them — every subscriber gets access to:

• All 20 AI models across Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (GPT), Google (Gemini), xAI (Grok), and MoonshotAI (Kimi).
• Unlimited projects with no restrictions on structure or complexity.
• Custom portrait generation in five styles: Classic, Sketch, Editorial, Dramatic, and Stylized.
• Custom styles and plugins — build your own writing tools.
• Marketplace publishing — share your creations with the community.
• Beta reader sessions — get AI-powered feedback on your manuscript.

The only differences between tiers are token volume and storage capacity. Choose the tier that matches how much you write:

• Basic ($9.99/mo) — 2M tokens, 10 GB. The cheapest way in — every model and feature, ideal for trying it seriously or lighter writing months.
• Writer ($19.99/mo) — 5M tokens, 25 GB. Perfect for most authors writing a novel or two.
• Professional ($49.99/mo) — 25M tokens, 125 GB. For power users, writing teams, or anyone who needs maximum capacity.

The Token Economy

Genesis Tokens are the universal currency for everything AI-powered in the platform. They provide a single, unified balance that works across all 20 AI models regardless of provider. You never need to think about provider-specific pricing.

Different models cost different amounts. Budget models ($) are the cheapest, while premium models ($$$$ – $$$$$) cost more tokens per generation. The Token Economy article covers model cost tiers, image generation costs, and strategies for maximizing your tokens.

First-Time Subscriber Bonus

When you subscribe to a paid plan for the first time, Genesis Writer awards you +25% extra base tokens for your first month. Every first-time subscriber gets the same bonus — whether or not you signed up through a referral link.

After the first month, subscribers receive exactly their plan's base token allocation each billing cycle. The first-month bonus is a one-time perk.

These extra tokens are part of your base allocation — they reset with your billing cycle just like your normal tokens. They do not carry over or accumulate.

• I'm a power user or professional author. Professional ($49.99/mo) gives you 25M tokens and 125 GB of storage. This tier is built for writers who rely on Genesis Writer as their primary tool.
