Marketplace Overview

The Genesis Writer Marketplace is where you find writing styles, plugins, and beta reader personas to use in your projects. You can browse, search, and add anything you find with a single click.

Open it from the Marketplace button in the header, or go to /marketplace. The hub page has a section for each category with a few featured items, and a link through to that category's full page.

The Three Marketplace Sections

The Marketplace has three categories, each with its own page: Writing Styles (/styles), Plugins (/plugins), and Beta Readers (/beta-readers). You can reach each one from the hub.

Browsing Styles

The Styles page lists writing styles. Each card shows the style's name, creator, tagline, genre, and an illustration that captures its mood.

Click a card to open its detail sheet: the full description, a sample passage, and, if the creator chose to share them, the style's prompts. Once you add a style, it appears in the Style selector in the writer's header.

Browsing Plugins

The Plugins page lists AI plugins: tools that run on text you select, such as dialogue polishers, scene-ending generators, or tone shifters.

Each card shows the plugin's name, description, category, and icon. Once you add a plugin, it appears with your selection tools and can run on any selected text.

Browsing Beta Readers

The Beta Readers page lists beta reader personas. Each reader has its own focus — some look at character development, others at pacing, and some give genre-specific feedback.

Adding a reader puts it in the reader picker for your beta read sessions, next to the built-in readers, so you can get a different angle without building a persona yourself.

The Tabs

Every category page has the same row of tabs:

• Featured — items picked by the Genesis Writer team. A good place to start.
• Newest — the most recently published items first.
• Liked — everything you've marked with the heart (shown when you're signed in).
• Added — everything you've added, so you can review or remove it.
• Yours — the items you created, published or private.

The Marketplace doesn't show use counts, like counts, or ratings.

Searching & Filtering

Each category page also has tools to narrow the list:

• Search — type a word to match item names and descriptions.
• Category filters — filter styles by genre (Romance, Fantasy, Thriller, Literary, Sci-Fi, Horror, Mystery, General, Experimental) or plugins by plugin category.

Search and filters work together. You can search for “noir” within the Mystery filter, for example, to find mystery styles with a noir feel.

Adding Items

When you find something you want to use:

1. Click Add on its card, or open the card and click Add in the detail sheet.
2. The item shows up in your Added tab.

The item is ready to use right away: styles under Added in the Style selector, plugins with your selection tools, and beta readers in your beta read sessions. To take something back out, click Remove (on styles and plugins, hover the Added button to reveal it).

Adding items is free and doesn't spend Genesis Tokens. Running a style, plugin, or beta reader spends tokens the same way any AI generation does.

Making Your Own Copy

Adding an item uses it as its author made it. To change something — a style's rules, a plugin's instructions, a reader's focus — open its detail sheet and click Make a copy you can edit (the copy icon). You get a private copy under Yours, already in your writer tools, and it opens so you can edit it. The original and its author aren't affected.

The option appears only when the author shares the item's instructions. Copying styles and plugins works on every plan; copying beta readers needs a paid plan, like creating them.

Liking Items

The heart on a card or detail sheet saves the item to your Liked tab, so you can come back to it later. Click the heart again to unlike it. Liking is separate from adding: a liked item isn't in your writer tools until you add it.
