Marketplace Overview
The Genesis Writer Marketplace is where the community comes together. It's a shared library of writing styles, characters, plugins, and beta reader personas — all created by other Genesis Writer users. You can browse, search, and add anything you find to your own library with a single click.
The Marketplace hub is accessible from the main navigation at /marketplace. The hub page displays category cards for each section, along with featured and trending items to help you discover popular creations.

The Four Marketplace Sections
The Marketplace is organized into four categories, each with its own discovery page. You can navigate to each section from the hub or directly from the main navigation.
Browsing Styles
The Styles section showcases community-created writing styles. Each style card displays the style's name, tagline, genre category, and a unique ink illustration that captures its mood.
Click on any style card to open a detail sheet with the full description, prompt visibility (if the creator chose to share their prompts), and a one-click button to add it to your library. Once added, the style appears in your Style Selector and can be applied to any generation.
Styles are grouped by genre: Romance, Fantasy, Thriller, Literary, Sci-Fi, Horror, Mystery, General, and Experimental. Genesis Writer also includes 30+ preset styles that appear alongside community creations.
Browsing Characters
The Characters section features community-created character profiles. Each character card shows the character's name, portrait (if generated), genre, and a brief description.
Adding a community character to your library gives you a fully formed character profile that you can use in your projects. The character's personality, backstory, and voice are all included. You can use community characters as-is or as inspiration for your own creations.
Browsing Plugins
The Plugins section showcases community-made AI plugins. These are custom tools that extend your writing toolkit — things like genre-specific dialogue polishers, scene transition generators, or specialized formatting tools.
Each plugin card displays the plugin's name, description, category, and an icon indicating its function. Click through to see the full description and add it to your plugin library. Once added, the plugin appears in your selection tools and can be run on any selected text.
Browsing Beta Readers
The Beta Readers section features community-created beta reader personas. Each beta reader has a specific focus area — some analyze character development, others focus on pacing, and some give genre-specific feedback.
Adding a beta reader to your library lets you run feedback sessions using that persona's unique perspective. This is a great way to get diverse feedback without creating custom personas from scratch.

Searching & Filtering
Each marketplace section includes tools to help you find exactly what you need:
- Search — type keywords to search by name, description, or tags. The search is fuzzy, so you don't need exact matches.
- Category filters — filter by genre category (for styles and characters) or plugin category. This narrows the results to a specific type.
- Sort options — sort by newest, most popular, or highest rated to surface different kinds of results.
Filters and search work together. You can search for “noir” within the Mystery category, for example, to find mystery-genre styles with a noir vibe.
Adding Items to Your Library
When you find something you like, adding it to your library is instant:
- Click on the item's card to open the detail sheet.
- Review the description, prompts (if visible), and other details.
- Click the Add to Library button.
The item is immediately available in your library. For styles, it appears in your Style Selector. For characters, it shows up in your character list. For plugins, it appears in your plugin tools. For beta readers, it's available in your beta read sessions.
Adding marketplace items is free and doesn't cost any Genesis Tokens. You can add as many items as you want without impacting your token balance.

Ratings & Reviews
The Marketplace includes a rating system so you can see what the community thinks of each item before you add it. Ratings work on a five-star scale, and the average rating is displayed on each card.
After using a marketplace item, you can rate it from its detail sheet. Your rating helps other users discover quality creations and gives creators feedback on their work.
- 5 stars — exceptional quality, highly recommended.
- 4 stars — great quality, minor room for improvement.
- 3 stars — decent, works but could be better.
- 2 stars — below expectations, needs work.
- 1 star — poor quality or doesn't work as described.
Featured & Trending Items
The Marketplace hub highlights two special collections:
- Featured — hand-picked by the Genesis Writer team. These are curated items that demonstrate exceptional quality and creativity. Featured status is awarded through the curation review process when creators submit their items for featured placement.
- Trending — algorithmically surfaced based on recent add-to-library activity and ratings. These are items gaining popularity in the community right now.
Both collections rotate regularly, so check back often to discover new creations. The Marketplace is a living ecosystem that grows as more writers contribute their styles, characters, plugins, and beta reader personas.
